Red Apple

Red Apple pick up will be today September 26 from 2pm-6pm in the Gym. All items MUST be picked up tomorrow, students with 10 or more items need to have a parent pick up their order please.


The 2017 PANTHER WALK OUT is TOMORROW for 5th-6th grades and THURSDAY for 7th-8th grade.  The deadline to donate is TODAY. Prizes include bags of chips, treats in the Panther Lounge, limited edition Walk Out shirts, and take out lunch with up to 6 friends! Students who earn the shirt and take out lunch with 6 friends will enjoy these items after fall break. The PTO will email your parents with details during the break. Thank you for supporting our PTO! Girls Basketball

Tryouts for the girl’s 7th and 8th grade basketball teams will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after fall break.  You must have a physical on file to try out.  See Ms. Cook if you have any questions.


Panther Soccer Club

The boys traveled to Henryville for the first round of tournament play.  They defeated the Hornets 6-0.  Caton Embry, Chase Walters, Sebastian Doss, and Gus Dickman had one goal each.  Aden Gary had two goals.  A big shout out to all the boys for a job well done!  The Panthers will take on Rock Creek in the second round on Wednesday night.







Girls Soccer

The New Albany Girls’ Soccer Team came away with their first tournament win last night vs. Corydon. A great game was had by all with 2 goals by both Alaina Walker and Taylor Treat and 1 goal by Aliya Utz. Final score was 5-2. Come out and support the girls when they play in the next round of the tournament at CCSA Fields this Wednesday at 6:00. Their opponent will be Jeff. Players should arrive between 5:15 and 5:30.



The 5th grade Lady Panthers were defeated in three sets by Silver Creek in the 1st round of the Clark/Floyd Tourney 25-19,19-25, and 7-15. Top server on the night was Reese Tiesing who had 19 consecutive points serving in the first set!  Kaleigh Medlock also had a good night serving. The 6th grade Lady Panthers lost in 2 sets: 11-25 and 23-25. Murphy Singleton and Whitney Byrd were top server for the Panthers.  Coach Knight is extremely proud of everyone’s effort and sportsmanship throughout the season. Don’t forget that uniforms need to be washed and put in a bag with your name on it. Return all uniforms to Coach Knight’s room before this Friday


Cross Country

Great Job to all runners last night at New Washington.

Top girl Finishers were Trinity Hobbs 3rd, Priscilla Byrd 13th, Ellie Dablow 36th, Sanaa Comer 63rd, and Cedria Keiler 68th.


The Boys Got 2nd place as a team with top Finishers being Jack Moutardier 8th, Nathaniel Higbie 18th, Aaron Lord 26th, Aidan Lord 28th, Philip Gill 29th, Issac Cooley 48th and Preston Eger 65th.


In the open race we had 2 runners get a award and that was Zach Fleming and Ben Jacobs.


This concludes the season for most runners as only those running Qualifying Times will run This Saturday in Carmel for the Middle School State Cross Country Meet
