 Student Spotlight

5th grader Aislin McDowell. Aislin is such a hard worker. She cares about doing well and loves to help her teachers and peers. I just love having her in my class.

5th grader Xavier Bottoms. Xavier is such a kind person. He works hard, participates in class, and has proven to be a leader at Scribner. My favorite part of breakfast is when he comes in saying “Good Morning!” and we chat about how the week is going.

 Awards Day

ATTENTION 8TH-GRADERS: The deadline to submit your baby or childhood photos for the Awards Day video is FRIDAY, MAY 7 — which is less than two weeks away. Please read the email from Ms. London with instructions on how to submit them using the Google Form. If your pictures are not submitted before the deadline, you will not be included.

The New Albany High School Marching Bulldogs is looking for new students to join our Drumline and Color Guard. The marching season begins in late July and ends in mid-October. No experience is needed to join, and we can work around your other extra curriculars. You can also get a PE credit for participating.

If you are interested, come check us out May 4-7th, from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm for our Kick-Off. We will meet in the band room.

For more information, contact Desmond Anderson, Director of Bands, New Albany High School, at

Students please make sure your cell phone and/or smart watch is in your book bag during testing. If you do not have a bag to put it in, please put your phone in your classroom designated area until testing is complete for today. This is a state rule that we all must follow.
