A special thank you to 8th grader Peyton Brown who sang the National Anthem acapella last night in honor of our last girls’ home basketball game. It was so beautiful that it brought tears to many eyes. Thank you for your love and dedication to Scribner. You truly are a lifelong Scribner Panther!
For all of our students who are taking the WIDA testing this week, we want to say GOOD LUCK! We know you will do your best.

Today’s counselor spotlight is Ms. Samsel.
Mrs. Samsel’s life can be summed up in her three most important areas of life—faith, family and friends. She has been at NAFCS for over 23 years.
Mrs. Samsel loves being a Scribner panther.
Grade 7 is just the right fit—students are learning to become young adults and introducing high school is what Mrs. Samsel loves to do. She’s worked with teachers in six different schools and the team of teachers at Scribner are really simply the best. The teachers at Scribner understand the middle school student, enjoy life, are very talented, go above and beyond to help students and other staff—but most of all, they are good friends.
Mrs. Samsel loves being a wife and a mom. Her husband, Dennis, keeps her laughing. Nate, her son, is a freshman at NAHS.
Mrs. Samsel loves being with her family and enjoys spending time with her parents, sisters and little nephew.
Although she said she’d never have a pet, Mrs. Samsel now has a dog they rescued last January and her name is Maggie. She’s a handful! Her full name is Maggie Mae Grace—-when she’s misbehaving.
Thank you, Ms. Samsel, for making Scribner a better place to learn and grow.
