IT’S SPIRIT WEEK FOR WINTER SPORTS!!

The 7th and 8th grade Lady Panthers ended their season at Parkview last night. Although both teams fought hard, they both fell short in the end. Thank you to Sophia Corley, Sadie Thornton, Ava Hayes, Sarah Johanning, Brinlee Dowdell, and Katie Sullivan for helping out the teams in the past week. And a special thank you to 8th graders Abigail Hayes, Avery Carroll, Katlin Martinez, Leigha Trusty, Kaylee DeMuth, and Alaina Walker for their hard work this season. Good luck in all you do, from Coach Blaylock and Coach Cook.
The 5th/6th grade teams will travel to Scottsburg tonight. Players may report to Coach Knight’s room or return by 4:30. Bus leaves at 4:30. Good luck, Panthers!
Calling all of Scribner’s best singers, dancers, rappers, jugglers, comedians, and more! The 2019 Talent Show, hosted by Student Council, will be holding auditions in a few weeks. If you’d like to learn more about being in the Talent Show, we’ll be hosting an informational meeting TODAY, in Presentation Room C during Core+. The 7th and 8th grade meeting will be 5th period, and the 5th and 6th grade meeting will start at 3:15. If you have questions, see Ms. Hamlin or Ms. London.

Any girl 5th-8th grade that is interested in attending the New Albany Lady Bulldog’s basketball developmental league should see Ms. Cook or stop by the office for more information.

FCA has come to Scribner! Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be meeting in Presentation Room A right after school until 5 on Wednesdays. Bring a friend join us starting January 31st.
The public library is currently offering an Acts of Kindness reading program. If you read 5 hours and log them in their website along with the act of kindness that you demonstrated you will earn a free pair of gloves for you, a pair of gloves will be donated to someone in need and you will also be entered to win $100 to go toward a charity of your choice. If you bring proof of finishing the program to Mrs. Meunier in our library all of your LATE fees will be waived and you will be entered into a drawing for a prize. Flyers can be picked up in our Scribner Library.
We have flyers in the office for New Albany Little League Softball and Baseball sign-ups.
It’s time to collect Box Tops! Collection days will be January 29- January 31. Please trim them and put them in a baggie with the student’s name on it. 5th and 6th graders will turn them into your homeroom teachers. 7th and 8th graders will turn it into your first period teacher. All Box Tops collected will help fund the Panther Plus Field Day. For every 25 Box Tops turned in, your name will be entered into a drawing for a prize.
