5th and 6th Basketball

The 5th and 6th grade basketball teams will travel to Henryville tonight. Players may either report to Coach Knight’s room or return to Scribner by 4:45.  Good luck, Panthers!

7th and 8th Boys Basketball

The 7th Grade Boys Basketball team was victorious last night in a win over Hazelwood. Rebounding by Landon Gum and Alonzo Lindsey, along with transition scoring by Adrian Thurman and Bryce Sheffield were the keys to the victory. Scorers for Scribner were: Adrian Thurman 11, Bryce Sheffield 10, Ben Seigel 7, Alonzo Lindsey 5, Landon Gum 4, and Jeremy Rose 3. Final score was Scribner 40 and Hazelwood 25. Great job boys!

Last night the 8th grade team was back to full strength to play our last game of the regular season against Hazelwood.  Great defense and rebounding lead to a ten point lead by the end of the first quarter. We slowly stretched out the lead to 12 by half. We got good minutes from Aze’shon Miller and Kaden Bishop. The second half we stretched the lead out to 20 and never looked back. Jamarion Carter chipped in 8 of his 12, Phil Gill put the clamps on defensively and Davis Krebs directed all the traffic.  Jackson Streander came back from his illness to score game high 22. Shot of the night came from Ben Jacobs, deep in the corner with a high arc, nothing but net to end the game. Scribner – 51 Hazelwood – 30. No practice today.
