Cross Country

 

Good Luck to all cross Country runners tonight at Highland Hills Practice meet

Meet Coach Fleming after school. Congrats to the following runners that made Varsity for the 1st meet: Nathaniel Higbie, Aaron Lord, Jack Moutadier, Aidan Lord, Zach Fleming, Preston Eger, Issac Cooley, Trinity Hobbs, Priscilla Byrd, Ellie Dablow, Lynlee Jerke, Sanaa Comer, and Ja’nya Boyd.

 

 

Student Council

This is a reminder to all 7th and 8th grade students that if you are planning to run for Student Council that you must have your application filled out online AND have both teacher recommendation forms turned in to Mrs. London or Mrs. Hamlin by August 16th. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Hamlin or Mrs. London.

 

Champion Force Cheerleading Classes

Programs for boys and girls ages 4-12 beginning August 23rd at the Griffin Recreation Center in New Albany.  Informational flyers are available in the front office.

 

Alumni Run Walk

NAHS Alumni Fun Run/Walk is this Saturday at Community Park.  Informational flyers are available in the front office.

 

 

Free Tennis Clinic

3rd Annual Floyd County Community FREE Tennis Clinic this Saturday Aug 12th.

Sponsored By Floyd Central High School Tennis Varsity Coaches & Team for

Boys and Girls 3rd through 8th Grades. Flyers are in the office.

 

 

Boys’ Tennis

Boys tennis tryouts will start on Monday, August 14th. Any boy, 5th through 8th, are welcome to try out for the team. You must have a physical on file to tryout. Tryouts will start directly after school, at the tennis courts, and go until 5:15. Make sure you have your own racket before you show up.

 

 

Baseball/Softball:

New Albany Little League is now accepting registration for the fall baseball and softball season.  The registration deadline is August 12.  No specific residency required for fall ball.  Online registration www.newalbanylittleleague.com.  In-person registration at Bearnos August 5 & 6 from Noon-3PM.   For more information please visit www.newalbanylittleleague.com.

 

New Albany Theater

Auditions for The Little Mermaid begin Tuesday Aug 22nd for grades 5-8.  More information is available in the front office.

Any 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grader interested in cheer, tryouts will continue Friday, August 11th from 6-8 in the gym.  Please make sure you have a physical on file in the office.
